PROJECT
To redesign the JCPenney syndicate partner site, jcp.jodee.com, as a responsive ecommerce site for phone, tablet, desktop. A major part of the project was to provide style guideline support materials so that the new Jodee site would be in sync with JCPenney styles.
MY ROLE
As a Sr. Information Architect in the Customer Experience Department I was tasked with providing better user experience solutions to JCPenney’s syndicate partner site, jodee.com. I worked on improving the global nav elements throughout the site, taxonomy and user interface design. I designed UX solutions and interfaces specifically for mobile devices. Many new features were introduced such as a slider on the homepage, sort by and filters on gallery pages, and a new footer. The shopping bag page was significantly redesigned to clearly edit, remove, or change quantity of product. It was also required that I provide support materials for bringing the Jodee site into compliance with JCP styles. I worked closely with a visual designer to provide comps for the desktop version of the site.
